Summer School.

Summer School

Institut Français de la Mode offers 1- or 2-week Summer School programs, in French or English. These fashion design, management or technical craftsmanship programs will allow you to understand the major challenges of creation, to get information about careers in fashion, or to acquire the technical basics of haute couture.

Programs for high school students

The Summer School programs for high school students are aimed at young people aged 15 to 18 who wish to take advantage of the summer period to obtain their first experience in a Grande Ecole, discover fashion as an object of study and get to know the different professions and training courses in fashion and luxury.

Over a period of one week, they include a wide range of activities: courses supervised by the school's faculty, creative workshops, meetings with experts and designers, and visits to exhibitions, showrooms, concept stores or iconic stores.

Programs for students

Institut Français de la Mode offers two 2-week Summer School programs mixing courses, workshops, meetings with experts and industry players (designers, etc.), cultural visits and on-site decoding of innovative sales outlets. The courses are led by professors of Institut Français de la Mode or partner institutions and by professionals.

These programs are open to students over 18 years of age currently enrolled in higher education or to young graduates, from all types of backgrounds and with an interest in fashion, design and luxury.

Technical programs for all

If you wish to learn about the unique techniques practiced in fashion and luxury houses, you may join one of our summer programs in technical savoir-faire. These programs allow you to acquire the basics of certain activities related to fashion design/pattern making and to offer a beginner and non-specialist audience the opportunity to be introduced to drawing skills as well as to the specific techniques of the sewing sector. The different programs are independent but can also be combined together.
