The Foundation

"The Foundation's corporate members are happy to support the school in its ambition to be the world reference in terms of fashion design, management and savoir-faire", Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Chanel's fashion activities, President of the Institut Français de la Mode Foundation.

The Foundation takes over from the IFM Circle, which has supported and accompanied the school at all stages of its development since 1994. This new Foundation, hosted by the Fondation de France, symbolizes the school's desire to forge strong, lasting and structured links both with companies that wish to support its development, and also with its alumni and other individual donors.

Its main mission is to promote the school's equal opportunities policy by providing need-based scholarships for students. It also aims to finance research and educational innovation.

The Foundation's mission is to support the development of research and educational innovation at Institut Français de la Mode and to help the school implement its equal opportunities policy through the financing of scholarships for students.

Its three main missions are:

1. Support the school's strategy for social and international diversity

  • Implementation of a proactive scholarship policy: priority should be given to need-based scholarships
  • 30% of students concerned
  • Possibility of nominative scholarships bearing the names of alumni or companies

2. Supporting research and teaching

  • Development of research and teaching chairs on key issues for companies
  • Contribution to reference publications in the academic field

3. Supporting innovation

  • In terms of pedagogical approaches (4.0 industry or non-technological innovation)
  • Entrepreneurship development: Participation in the development of partnerships with the actors of the digital, tech and start-up ecosystems.
