Application

What prerequisites are necessary ?

Our Summer Schools student programs are exclusively for students or recent graduates over the age of 18 and from all types of backgrounds.

Can I follow the IFM Summer School programs if I don't live in Paris ?

Yes, you can. Our Summer School student programs are open to all students, regardless of geographic location. Anyone living abroad can follow our programs as long as the time difference allows it. It is therefore not necessary to be physically present in Paris. You will meet our experts by videoconference, deliver your work on our platform, access our electronic resources and interact with other participants on our discussion forum.

I'm not in the same time zone. What will be the schedule for the live classes given by your instructors ?

We have chosen a time slot to meet the expectations of participants from different parts of the world. Our courses will be held between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM (French time).

Program and conditions

What exactly will the synchronous and asynchronous parts consist of ?

The synchronous part will be exclusively composed of live courses delivered by our speakers via our videoconference tool. As in any classroom, you will be able to interact directly with them. All you need is a computer equipped with a webcam, a microphone and a good internet connection.

The asynchronous part will be structured around various complementary activities designed by our speakers, as well as a discussion forum moderated by an IFM expert.

It will be difficult for me to follow the synchronous part of the program. Will I be able to view the courses later?

The courses will be recorded provided that the teacher has agreed to being recorded. If so, you will be able to access the recorded courses later and view them at your convenience for the duration of the program.

What platform will be used ?

All of our online Summer Schools programs run on Microsoft Teams, a platform for video conferencing, collaborative tools, document sharing and discussion forums.

How many students per class ?

There is no limit to the number of students.

What is the duration/frequency of the course ?

Our Summer Schools student programs duration is two weeks with 3-4 hours of videoconferencing per day.

I don't have a computer, can I use a phone or tablet ?

The use of a telephone is strongly discouraged. The size of the screen will make it difficult for you to complete all activities. In this case, the use of a tablet is preferable, although it is still ideal to follow the program on the computer.

At the end of the program, will I have proof of my attendance ?

Absolutely, the IFM will issue you with a certificate attesting to your participation.

Is the planning compatible with different time zones?

Yes.
