Institut Français de la Mode forges privileged relationships with companies in order to ensure that its programs are always as close as possible to the realities of the fashion industry. Our teams will work with you to fulfill your needs in terms of recruitment, training your teams or academic partnerships.

Institut Français de la Mode students are looking for internships or jobs in the following occupations:

  • Our programs in Fashion Management (MS Management de la Mode et du Luxe, MSc in International Fashion & Luxury Management) prepare students for positions such as product developer/product manager, buyer, or positions in merchandising, retail, e-commerce, wholesale, image, visual merchandising, digital, media-Press, entrepreneurship, or as collections manager...
  • Our programs in Fashion Design (Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts) open doors to opportunities in the following trades : Menswear / Womenswear Design (Designer men’s or women’s RTW, Luxury and Haute Couture studios, Design director, Creative director, Artistic director), Accessory Design (Designer in Leather goods, Small Leather goods, Shoes, Leather accessories, Textile accessories), Image Design (Art Director, Art Consultant, Photo Stylist, Visual Merchandiser, Window or Pop-up Designer, Scenographer, Graphic Identity designer for Print or Digital , Web Designer, Digital Content Design Manager, Image Manager), Creative Pattern Making (Modelist/Pattern Maker, Pattern workshop Manager, Research & Development Manager) or Knitwear Design (Fashion Knitwear Designer, Knitwear Programmer, Knitwear Developer)

  • Students on the Management, MSc Luxury and Fashion Design programs complete an internship during or at the end of their course at Institut Français de la Mode. This professional mission can be accomplished as an internship, a VIE contract (International Volunteers in Business), a CDD (fixed-term contract) or a CDI (permanent contract).

Apprenticeship contracts are open to young people aged between 16 and 30.

Professionalization contracts are open to all without an age limit.

The salary corresponds to a percentage of the S.M.I.C. (minimum wage), which varies according to age and qualifications of the work-study contract holder.

Executive Education at Institut Français de la Mode offers your teams access to new fields of skills, the development of in-depth expertise along with creative and cultural issues which will generate greater potential for your company’s development.

We provide open-enrolment courses in diverse fields such as craftsmanship and technique, design, fashion culture, products, brands, buying, retail or consumption. Some of the short courses may be combined to obtain a certificate.

We can also work with you to develop custom programs adapted to your needs. These are targeted towards executives, directors, as well as task teams, and tackle extremely varied fields: technical know-how, business, product marketing, strategy, creativity and innovation…

In order to develop strong privileged links with Institut Français de la Mode and its students, you may join its Foundation, which brings together the school's corporate benefactors and sponsors.

Companies may also become partners of the school by taking part in Institut Français de la Mode’s academic content through case studies, presentations of your company’s openings, an executive’s testimony or design workshops. Each year, dozens of companies develop their creative research and work with students on actual business or design issues.

Depending on your projects and your topicality, we can also develop direct initiatives with students: marketing case studies, company presentations, prototyping, image workshops, management workshops, participation in recruitment events.
