“Accessorial” presented by the Fashion Design MA
French Savoir-Faire Meets the Next Generation of Accessory Design
On 28 May 2026, students from the Accessory Design pathway of the Master of Arts in Fashion Design presented Accessorial, an exhibition accompanied by a photographic publication celebrating the work of 15 students. Photographer Jora Zaira brought around fifty pieces to life for the publication.
Leather goods, footwear, gloves, jewelry: each piece reflects a singular approach to the accessory, conceived as an object at once cultural, artistic, and technical. Every project was shaped by direct dialogue with the workshops and manufacturers who guided students throughout the year, from the first patterns to the final prototype.
For the third consecutive year, this work was developed in partnership with the Fédération Française de la Maroquinerie, the Fédération Française de la Tannerie Mégisserie, the Fédération Française de la Ganterie, and CTC — a connection to the French industry that is, for IFM, as much a condition of training as an institutional commitment.
