Emilie Hammen

Fashion History & Theory

A graduate of ESAA Duperré and Institut Français de la Mode, Emilie Hammen holds an MA in Art History and is currently pursuing a PhD at Université Paris 1 Panthéon – Sorbonne in partnership with IFM.

She has worked as a designer for Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and Christian Dior.

Her research focuses on the historiography of fashion in France from the 19th to the 20th Century. In 2015, she was associate curator for the exhibition La fabrique d'une image : les Noailles et la mode at the Villa Noailles art center (Hyères, France). She co-authored Les Grands textes de la mode, published by IFM-Regard publications.
