Director of the MSc in International Fashion & Luxury management, IFM.

Caroline Ardelet holds a PhD in Management Sciences from the University of Paris Dauphine and is qualified as a lecturer. She is the director of the Msc international fashion and luxury management programme at the Institut Français de la Mode. She has taught at universities in France (Université Paris Dauphine, Université Paris Nanterre) and in England (University of Westminster). Before starting her academic career, she worked for 6 years for the fashion houses Givenchy (LVMH) and Jean Paul Gaultier, and created the start-up NoteParfumée in partnership with Séphora and Lagardère Aélia. Her research activities focus on the impact of marketing on consumer behaviour, with a historical perspective on commercial practices in fashion and luxury. She publishes her research in international academoc journals (International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Business Research), as well as in international scientific conferences (EMAC, AMS). She is a member of the board of the French Marketing Association, in charge of writing and editing a new collection of white papers published by the AFM. She is also a reviewer for the Journal of business research, Journal of marketing theory and practice and Journal of retailing and consumer service.
