June 2018: results on the consumption of clothing & textiles
After a sharp drop in May (-6.0% in value compared to May 2017), the final results for June 2018 show a slight increase in distributors' sales (+0.2% in value compared to June 2017). As a reminder, the June 2017 reference was down sharply compared to June 2016 (-8.4%).
The results ranged from a 4.6% increase for department stores and popular stores to a 4.6% decrease for multi-brand independents.
Overall, for the first half of 2018, the sales balance sheet shows a decline in value of 2.2% compared to the first half of 2017.
