IFM partners with Villa Hegra to launch a fashion residency
Institut Français de la Mode is partnering with Villa Hegra, the Saudi Fashion Commission, and the Institut Français in Riyadh to launch a call for projects aimed at selecting a Saudi designer for the first fashion residency at Villa Hegra. Supported by Kering, this program will run from June to October 2026 across AlUla, Paris, and Riyadh.
Designed as a journey of research, creation, and production, this residency will support the development of the selected designer while highlighting contemporary creation rooted in the Saudi context. Following a residency in AlUla, a working module in Paris at IFM, and a production phase in Riyadh, the project may be presented during Riyadh Fashion Week in October 2026.
This residency is the second initiative led by IFM as part of the “Viva Villa” network.
