BA 2026 Graduate Show: Under the Patronage of Michael Rider

On June 23, 2026, 27 final-year Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design students opened Paris Fashion Week® with a runway presentation of their graduate collections, under the patronage of Michael Rider, Artistic Director of CELINE.

Each comprising six accessorized looks, these collections were selected by a jury of industry professionals from among the 69 projects developed by final-year students, based on creative maturity, quality of execution, proportions, volumes, and overall coherence. Together, they reflect a generation of designers engaged with contemporary issues of sustainability, impact, inclusion, gender expression, and innovation.

Michael Rider's patronage was a particularly natural choice. A leading figure of a new generation of artistic directors, he embodies a vision of creation in which mastery of fundamentals fuels boldness — an approach that resonates strongly with the Bachelor's educational philosophy, a program built on the union of technical craft and critical thinking.

At the close of the show, Lauriane Lothin was selected by Michael Rider to undertake a six-month internship within the CELINE design studio — offering this new generation of designers the opportunity to continue the dialogue between education, experimentation, and professional practice.

Institut Français de la Mode would like to extend its special thanks to CELINE and Michael Rider for their generous support and commitment, as well as to DEFI and all the partners who made this event possible.
