Distribution and wholesale strategy

Tao El Khazzani has been teaching at IFM since 2015, where he teaches Go-To-Market Strategy. He also mentors participants in the school’s entrepreneurship programmes, notably through the Fashion Led by Youth (FLY) incubator, which supports emerging Beninese designers.

A graduate of IFM’s Master’s programme (2014), where his dissertation explored the branding strategies of contemporary art galleries, he began his career at McKinsey & Company in the United States before joining Vivendi’s strategy department. He later led business development for Lanvin in the UK and the Middle East, before taking over the management of Lemaire, supporting the fashion house through a pivotal phase of structuring and growth.

Now based in Tokyo, he divides his time between strategic consulting for fashion and luxury brands and executive search for leading groups in the sector across Japan and Korea.

Originally trained as an engineer (Toulouse, University of Michigan), he works in French, English, Arabic and Japanese.
