Hugues Bermond
Accessories design
Hugues Bermond is a Head Designer specializing in leather goods and accessories. He began his career at Louis Vuitton under the artistic direction of Marc Jacobs, then moved on to Céline with Phoebe Philo. He was later appointed Head Designer for Leather Goods at Maison Martin Margiela, a pivotal experience that profoundly enriched his creativity and design approach.
He subsequently held the same position at Jil Sander in Milan, before starting a collaboration with Alaïa alongside Mr. Azzedine Alaïa himself — a privileged and formative moment in his career.
He then collaborated with Hermès on various projects, followed by Gucci in Rome under the artistic direction of Alessandro Michele. More recently, he served as Head Designer for Leather Goods at Alexander McQueen in London, under Sarah Burton’s leadership.
He is currently Leathergoods & Accessory Design Director at LOEWE, and co-director of the Accessories Design specialization of the Master of Arts program.
