Objectives
Fashion’s objective today is to sell products. It does this through image. The influence of photo stylists has never been so great, nor the creative dimension of their role. This course takes you into the world of a fashion stylist-editor and explains what that entails. You will learn how the images in magazines/fashion campaigns are created. You will understand the stylist’s role in their creation. You will create and style your own silhouette using your newfound knowledge.

- The role and required skill set of a fashion stylist
- A testimony of a guest photographer
- The impact of an image: analysis of existing fashion campaigns
- The role and the constitution of the mood board
- The creative elements to turn the mood board into an image: photographer, hair stylist, makeup artist, casting, styling…
- Collective and individual mood board research
- Individual mood board creation
- Online individual meetings with the tutor of the program
- Selection and editing of clothes and accessories
- Realization of personal mood board
- Experimentation to build silhouettes reflecting the personal mood board
- The construction of an image in real time
- Individual presentation of final silhouettes including mood board, creative elements, documentation of photographed exercices of styling
Terms and pace
The course consists of a synchronous and an asynchronous part. You will attend 3-4 hours of live lessons per day with our faculty. At the same time, you will be presented with different activities to be completed between classes that you can do at your own pace. Finally, a discussion forum moderated by an IFM expert will allow you to interact with the other participants and discuss topics related to current fashion and the various aspects of the course.

Certificate
At the end of the program, a certificate of attendance is issued to participants who have attended all of the course activities.
