  • Develop creative practices to illustrate your vision of the fashion figure in a personal way

Program

This experimental workshop is intended as a laboratory, a moment of pure technical experimentation and disinhibition during an intensive and dynamic week. Each day, you will have the opportunity to work on a different topic, allowing you to experiment a wide range of techniques and materials. This free approach will be applied to the world of fashion whether it be on clothing, body or accessories.

One day of the week will also be dedicated to a session of "wild drawing" during an outing to a museum, Parisian monument or exhibition. Another session will be dedicated to clothed live models.

Workshop 1 - Say your name

Free your hand, your body and introduce yourself

During this workshop, you will draw your name or an object that is meaningful to you on a large format, using charcoal, lead, pastel, Indian ink...

Workshop 2 - Anamorphosis

Reinvent new lines for a new body

Choose about twenty silhouettes/ figures in various magazines and reformulate contours, transform the proportions of an existing body or garment by using different techniques

Workshop 3 - Model Presence

Observe and work from a life model.

Underline the silhouette and focus on body details and clothes.

Workshop 4 - Contexture

Formulate a rich pictorial universe, exercise your eyes to create compositions

Make a large series of paintings, watercolors, pastels, etc in which you will strive to produce a texture, a graphic motif, a material. By cutting & glue, create a dozen of abstract and figurative compositions by assembling different techniques in various forms.

During the week, you will have the opportunity to use the following material: paint, oil/ dry pastel, markers, charcoal, lead, pastel, Indian ink, color pencils, ink…
